Summer Solstice with The Wind in the Willows (a Zoom Event)

Summer Solstice with The Wind in the Willows (a Zoom Event)

“Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing—absolutely nothing—half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

Join us on Zoom on Monday, June 21 at 7:00 pm as we celebrate Litha, the Summer Solstice, with a gentle, guided ritual led by Elizabeth Van Rij.

This gathering will combine seasonal reflection, guided visualization, and readings from Kenneth Grahame’s beloved classic The Wind in the Willows (1908). Together we’ll explore themes of midsummer abundance, friendship, home, wonder, and the enchantment hidden within ordinary life.

Drawing on earth-based and UU-friendly spiritual traditions, we’ll journey to the riverbank with Mole and Rat, reflecting on the fullness of the season and the simple joys that nourish the spirit. Through story, imagination, and shared reflection, we’ll take time to pause and appreciate the long light of summer.

No experience with the ritual or book is necessary, just a desire to slow down and be present. There will be an optional time to connect after the gathering.

Unitarian Fellowship of London is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
